Visualization is a key, a skill in our Craft that we must practice, but sometimes we (or at least I) find it difficult and seemed blocked…. Maybe we need to approach it differently, from another angle…
When is the last time you watched a toddler play? ~ a little person who is about two or three years old? They are completely immersed ~ They actually SEE what is in their mind. So, when they hand you that imaginary item, they will look at you like you are an idiot what you ask, “what is it?” How can you Not see it?!? They can.
This is visualization at its purest. These tiny people want something (or sometimes, someone) to be there, so they Believe it and viola! There it is! They can see, taste, smell and often touch it. This is, well… Magic.
Unfortunately, in the process of growing up, we have forgotten how to do this. Think back. When you were small, did you have an imaginary friend, or place.? Did you have a favorite daydream that you would imagine was real? Could you manifest it, projecting it from your mind? If you did it before, you can do it again! Try it first with your old memory and build on that.. For example, I used to imagine a horse running to me. I could literally see it, feel its breath, hear its hoof beats.. Where will your imagination take you? What can you see?
