02-04-13 Journal Prompt

JOURNAL PROMPT 2/4/13:
Someone once said that Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine. Funny, but true. Change happens. Period. Often whether we want it or not. Some of us invite change, look forward to it, even court it. Others, myself somewhat included, view change with trepidation ~ even when that change is good for us. They may even view changing something as “giving up, or quitting”. Let me give you an example:

Someone very dear to me is in a relationship that is going nowhere and even borders on being destructive. She doesn’t want others to think that she “gave up on the relationship”, or “couldn’t make it work”… so she stays in it.

There is no growth without change. The evolution of you as a person, both in the physical and the spiritual will result in change. That change may involve a shift in the Goddess or God that we worship, the light in which we see ourselves or others… It may involve those we associate with. Deep change can often be painful, the decisions difficult… but when you listen, I mean “Really” listen to your soul, I believe that you will know when Change is right.

Which leads me to another beautiful quote: “When the caterpillar thought the world was over, it changed into a butterfly.” Don’t miss out on the opportunity to get your wings.

Do you find yourself welcoming or resistant to change? What changes have you recently gone through? What was the hardest part? Do you have something pulling at you that is demanding a change? If so, is there something that is holding you back?
