02-11-13 Journal Prompt

JOURNAL PROMPT

I remember something I read long ago:

Lost: One golden hour set with 60 diamond minutes. No reward is given. It is gone forever.

TIME. It is a commodity that we never seem to have enough of. We try to manage it. Stretch it. Save it. We divide it into Past, Present, and Future. Although our perception can make it seem to drag on slowly, or fly by in a blink, we can’t control it. There is no time machine. It flows on, bringing us with it into the Future ~ which then becomes the Present ~ and tomorrow our today will become the Past ~ stretching out ~ on and on, in a constant circle.

Even though looking back on the Past can bring us understanding and wisdom, and looking forward to the Future can give us hope, we live in the Present ~ today, in this moment, right now. What you do with the Present will both create your Past, becoming the memories of yesterday, and mold your Future, bringing about the catalyst for things to come.

So what will you do with Today, your Present? What will you fill it with? Remember that a single word, glance, or smile can set in motion actions that can reach farther than we can imagine.

AFFIRMATION FOR THE HEART AND SOUL:
I am a child of the Goddess and God whose spirit and light dwells within me and shines through me.
