JOURNAL PROMPT 03/04/13

This weekend my youngest daughter decided to take a walk by herself.. The day was sunny and mild and she was gone for a bit. When she came back and settled on the couch she declared, “It’s nice to just be by yourself, it’s quiet and you can think.” I looked at her and smiled ~ “Yes it is.”

When in life do we realize the distinction between being alone and being lonely? It is different for everyone I suppose. It is being comfortable in your own skin… that, and something more. It’s the longing for silence, the need to be able to quiet your inner voice and listen for the whisper of the God/dess and of angels. It is the sound of Peace.

In your quietest moments, what do you hear? Does your inner voice clamor for attention, or do you find that you can still that voice and hear the Divine?

Bright Blessings,
A
